We are here for you.

How Living Forward helps you gain agency, protect dignity and plan next steps

Living Forward is a stand-alone coaching program for people living with serious illness, those approaching the end of life, and the family members and survivors who walk alongside them in Singapore.

Sessions are practical, compassionate and outcome-focused. You will gain agency, clarify your priorities, plan difficult conversations, and create lasting legacy work.

Sessions are 60 minutes, with limited availability.

Practical grief support for survivors

Manage early grief, role change and the logistics that follow loss.

Presence under pressure

Who is this for?

  • Individuals living with serious illness who want clarity, practical planning and legacy work.

  • Family members and survivors seeking structured support with grief, communication and caregiving decisions.

  • Couples or small family units wishing to align priorities, prepare conversations and record what matters.

This offering is specifically designed for individuals and families in Singapore. Organisational work for hospices and charities may be considered in a later phase.

Visual Thinking in Leadership

Living Forward offers a calm, confidential coaching space where you can speak frankly, be heard and gain agency for the steps that matter. The work is practical and compassionate: we focus on presence, values, and measurable action, so you can make clear decisions, prepare for important conversations, and create meaningful legacy work. This is not legal advice, counselling or therapy. If legal guidance or clinical care is required, we will pause coaching and help you connect with trusted professionals.

I am Gary McRae. I have worked with over 500 families, led community conversations about end-of-life care, supported survivors during my earlier career as a homicide detective, and collaborated with hospices in the United States, delivering practical training to hospice caregivers. That mix of frontline experience and coaching practice shapes a calm, direct and deeply humane way of holding difficult conversations.

Your safety is our priority. If a session reveals an immediate risk, severe mental health concerns, or a clinical need, the session will end,  and we will help you access urgent clinical care.

What about privacy and confidentiality?

Sessions are confidential. For family sessions we obtain informed consent from every participant and establish a clear scope of the work before starting. Any limits to confidentiality for safety reasons will be explained at intake.

Do you offer pro bono or concessional support for hospices and not-for-profit organisations?

Yes. A limited number of pro bono or concessional coaching places are available for hospices and professional not-for-profit organisations in Singapore. Priority is given to organisations providing direct care and demonstrating a clear community benefit.

What end of life work taught me

In my Living Forward blog, I describe how working with people at the end of life taught me that meaning is made through presence, small deliberate choices and practical legacy work and lessons that directly shape Living Forward, a compassionate, practical coaching approach to help people and families gain agency, preserve dignity and plan what matters.
