Where is your authority lag?

Twelve statements across five dimensions of executive presence. The result shows where you are read as clear, where you are under pressure, and where to look first.

01 · Dimension

Landing the call

The recommendation versus the options. Whether the room hears a decision to back or analysis to weigh.

02 · Dimension

How the room reads you

Trusted with the detail, read as the safe pair of hands, and passed for the role above.

03 · Dimension

The fixed-trait belief

The idea that you either have gravitas or you do not, and the quiet sense of being found out.

04 · Dimension

Communicating up

Being heard by, and landing with, the people more senior than you.

05 · Dimension

Reading the room across contexts

Presence that holds in one setting and drains in another, without you having changed. Read as senior in one room, re-proving yourself in the next.

Rate each statement 0 (disagree) to 10 (agree). Higher means it fits you more closely. Answer for how things actually are, not how you would like them to be.

Why this works

The pattern is rarely the presented problem.

Senior leaders typically arrive at a coaching conversation with a clear narrative about the issue. Three sessions in, the underlying pattern is usually different from the one they named at the start.

This Check is a forensic first-cut. It is diagnostic rather than predictive, and it does not replace the work that happens in conversation. It identifies where to look first. A starting hypothesis that the work either confirms or productively refutes.

The five dimensions are drawn from the patterns we see again and again across executive coaching engagements, and from the language leaders use about executive presence the world over. The questions are statements by design, not interrogations. Senior leaders read better than they answer.

FAQ

Frequently asked.

Is it really free?

Yes. The Check is free. We capture your email to send the profile-specific follow-up note, which includes a short read on the pattern your answers surfaced and an option to book a conversation. You can unsubscribe at any time.

How is the result calculated?

Each statement adds to one of five dimensions; results are displayed as clarity scores where a lower score indicates more pressure. The dimension under the greatest pressure sets your dominant profile, one of five: the Options-Giver, the Safe Pair of Hands, the Unconvinced, the Translator, or the Transplant. The result is diagnostic rather than predictive; it identifies where to look first.

What happens after I submit?

Your result appears immediately on this page. A profile-specific email arrives within a few minutes. A short read on what your profile usually means, and a calendar link if you want to book a conversation.

Will my responses be shared?

Your individual responses are private. We use them to compute your profile result and to write the follow-up note. We do not share individual data; aggregated patterns may inform anonymous research over time.

Can I take it more than once?

Yes. The patterns shift over time and with role transitions. Some leaders re-take after a major role change or six months into a coaching engagement. You will see the difference.
