Gary McRae
Founder & Coach
Gary McRae is a CCI Certified Coach Practitioner and a Practising Management Consultant (PMC) who helps senior leaders cut through complexity and lead with clarity. With an MBA and over a decade of experience across government, financial services, banking, insurance, and professional services, he understands the pressures facing Singapore's leadership landscape from both sides: the need for SME agility and the demands of global scale.
After leading global marketing teams in highly complex organisations, Gary recognised that the most effective leaders weren't those with all the answers. They were the ones who could ask the most powerful questions and focus on what truly mattered. This insight shaped his work: helping leaders move from reactive overwhelm to intentional, sustainable decision-making.
His approach is built on the Three-Pillar Clarity Method™, integrating the grounded presence of Mindfulness (trained in MBSR through UC San Diego), the rigorous logic of Strategic Thinking, and the insightful synthesis of Visual Thinking. As a certified Leadership Circle Profile (LCP) practitioner, he combines this framework with 360-degree assessment tools to create lasting behavioural change that drives both personal effectiveness and organisational impact.
As a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer, Gary brings this same clarity-focused approach to organisations navigating growth transitions or gaps in marketing capability. He doesn't just develop a strategy; he also implements it. He builds the leadership capacity to execute it, coaching marketing teams and C-suite executives to align vision with action. This dual role as coach and operator gives him a rare perspective: he understands both the leadership mindset shifts required and the operational realities of making change stick.
As a certified PMC with the Singapore Business Advisors and Consultants Council (SBACC), a credential recognised by Enterprise Singapore, Gary's integrated approach enables organisations to leverage government grants for capability building, turning coaching investments into measurable business outcomes.
Originally from the UK, with years in California, Gary has called Singapore home for over a decade with his wife. He founded The Clarity Practice on a simple belief: the best leadership development happens when you remove friction and unlock what's already there.
Whether coaching a CEO through a critical business transition, guiding an individual through a career inflexion point, or supporting someone navigating life's final chapter with end-of-life coaching, his work centres on one thing: helping people reclaim their agency, make decisions with conviction, and lead (or live) with courage and confidence.
